ArborScout®

ArborScout® is a tree survey technology that can quantify the environmental benefits (e.g., carbon sequestration and pollution removal) that your property’s trees provide. This information can help earn you LEED Certification points, and enhance your green messaging and sustainability efforts.

ArborScout® begins with a GPS/GIS inventory of selected trees, which is then used to develop a detailed map that includes the position of each tree and other landscape features. An extensive property database is then created and linked to the clickable map. Property managers then have instant access to specific information about each tree. A single click on a tree icon can reveal, for example, that the selected tree is:

• A 33” Loblolly Pine
• Its replacement value is $10,130
• In a year, its environmental benefits may include 2,646.03 pounds of carbon storage, 58.02 pounds of carbon sequestration, 16.3 ounces of ozone filtration, and 9.30 ounces of smog elimination
• In a year, it may counteract the emissions of driving a car 2,500 miles
